Characters Design

On this page, I would like to invite you to explore a selection of my concept characters and sculptural experiments. Each character emerges from a personal memory, emotional experience, observation, or story collected through my everyday life and artistic practice.

Self Portrait

In my opinion, cockroaches are one of the most terrifying creatures on the planet. This horrible creature is my nightmare every night, that's why I hate it with all my heart. This intense hatred and fear made me design a character based on a cockroach.

"One morning, upon awakening from agitated dreams, Gregor Samsa found himself, in his bed, transformed into a monstrous vermin. "
When I was reading these lines in the toilet, fearing cockroaches, I realized I am turning into a cockroach myself.

I am particularly interested in creating characters that feel expressive, imperfect, and emotionally charged, carrying traces of both intimacy and playfulness. Through these works, I explore how digital tools can be used not only for production, but also for preserving emotions, relationships, and imagined identities in physical form.

For me, character design functions as a form of storytelling and emotional translation. Through digital sculpting, 3D printing, and material experimentation, I develop figures that exist somewhere between portrait, fiction, humor, and autobiography. Many of these characters are inspired by people close to me, fragments of conversations, cultural memories, or exaggerated personality traits transformed into visual narratives.

Is it a hen or a rooster ?

Is it a chicken or a rooster? Honestly, I still don't know. 🐓

This character started as a tiny doodle during one of the most painfully boring classes of my bachelor's back in 2018. Somewhere between pretending to take notes and mentally evaporating into another dimension, this weird little creature appeared in the corner of my sketchbook.

Years later, it somehow followed me into 3D.

What excites me about character design is exactly this: the ability to turn strange thoughts, jokes, moods, and fragments of memory into something alive. I love characters that feel slightly awkward, theatrical, expressive, and a little bit unhinged, like they walked out of a dream after eating too much corn.

For me, character design has never been only about anatomy or technical perfection. It feels closer to storytelling through shape, gesture, and personality. A crooked smile, an exaggerated pose, tiny details that make a character feel like it already has a past before you even animate it.

Looking at this render now feels like opening an old notebook and finding a younger version of myself hiding between the pages, still drawing creatures instead of listening to the lecture.

Nawaity

IDA Gold, Bronze and Honorable mention for Nawaity project

Education is the collective solution to the global disaster, which aims to correct unsustainable habits.
Nawaity includes three components: products for children, bands for parents, and an app. Installing these bands around your house will allow them to track your water usage through vibrations and transmit the data to the app and product. Since the product responds to the data it receives, it will affect children emotionally. This application permits families to track their water usage and discover how to conserve water, contributing to a more sustainable society.
